Tearney Woodruff, Ph.D. is an Assistant Professor and Extension Specialist in the Texas A&M Department of Agricultural Leadership, Education, and Communications. Her research interests center on the development of people as leaders, employees, and citizens. Her work addresses issues of mentorship, reflection, curriculum, pedagogy, adult learners, professional development, and the intersection of marginalized identities in PWI settings. She capitalizes on the robust data that qualitative methods provide to examine the best practices for delivering leadership content and professional development programs to adult learners, employee orientation and onboarding, leadership in higher education settings, leadership program development and assessment, organizational development, and access and inclusion. As she grounds her work in the advancement of learning, development, success, and efficacy, she seeks to support the implementation of intentional and transformative learning experiences.
