LeAnne Pollock is a Ph.D. Candidate in the Department of Agricultural Leadership, Education, and Communications and a Family and Community Health County Extension Agent with Texas A&M AgriLife Extension. She has over 8 years of experience in community and youth education and recreational programming. Her academic research focuses on food waste behavior and sustainability in educational settings, with particular emphasis on middle school populations. Grounded in Self Determination Theory, her dissertation examines how autonomy, competence, and relatedness influence students’ food related decision making and plate waste behaviors. Her scholarly interests include applied qualitative research, program evaluation, and the design of educational interventions that support sustainable behavior change.
