Seth Jordan is a program coordinator at the Hazard Reduction & Recovery Center and a Ph.D. student in the Department of Agriculture, Leadership, Education, and Communication at Texas A&M University. His research interests lie in the intersection between youth and community education and disaster risk reduction. He currently works alongside sociologists, urban planners, and many other disciplines to advance community resiliency. Over the past year, he has assisted in obtaining over $1 million of research support, which includes the National Science Foundation and the National Academies of Science, Engineering, and Math. Seth currently works on multiple funded projects targeted at vulnerable populations and communities of high climate risk, helping researchers in their efforts to make the world safer and more resilient.
