Professional Summary
Fahmida Choudhury is a PhD student in the Department of Agricultural Leadership, Education, and Communications at Texas A&M University, where she also serves as a Graduate Teaching Assistant. Her academic interests broadly focus on agricultural communication and extension education, with emerging interests in the use of communication technologies, data-informed approaches, and digital tools to support teaching, learning, and innovation in agricultural and higher education contexts.
Prior to beginning her doctoral studies, Choudhury served as a faculty member in the Department of Agricultural Extension Education at Sylhet Agricultural University, Bangladesh( 2018–2025). In these roles, she taught undergraduate courses, conducted research, and provided academic leadership through organizing conferences, leading academic programs, and mentoring students.
At Texas A&M University, she is currently involved in research activities through the D-Lab, where she has contributed to publications and national , international conference presentations related to graduate-level statistics education, student engagement, and instructional practices. She is also exploring research related to social media use in precision agriculture. Her doctoral research focus continues to evolve as she refines her interests within agricultural communication and extension.
