Student Life

Texas A&M University is one of the largest universities in the country and offers a breadth of amenities that only a diverse campus community can provide. There are several student organizations available for our students to get involved in. Student organizations enable students to develop professionally, expand own personal growth and knowledge, and enhance leadership skills, all while providing networking opportunities with other students. For more information on a specific organization, select the link below.

Agricultural Communicators of Tomorrow (ACT)

The objectives or goals of this organization shall be to stimulate interest in the profession of agricultural communications and to provide opportunities for practical experience in agricultural communications by encouraging members to participate in ACT at the local and national levels. ACT aims to build relationships among agricultural communication professionals, college students and faculty; to provide professional and academic development for members, and to promote agriculture through communication efforts.

ALEC Aggie REPS

Agricultural Leadership, Education & Communications (ALEC) Aggie Reps are undergraduate students majoring in Agricultural Leadership & Development, Agricultural Science, Agricultural Communications & Journalism and University Studies-Leadership who help promote and represent the ALEC Department.
ALEC Aggie Reps serve as the department’s liaison between prospective, current, former students, and the department through a variety of service events throughout the year and social media. Reps also focus on improving faculty-student relations and creating a positive image of our department across campus and the community.

Texas A&M Collegiate FFA

To develop TAMU CFFA members as business professionals by providing collegiate leadership opportunities, career development events, networking, academic enhancement, and personal success. Texas A&M Collegiate FFA was established in 1931 as the first Collegiate FFA Chapter and re-established in 2012. This organizations aims to promote premier leadership, personal growth, and career success through agricultural education through social and recreational activities, professional development events and opportunities for scholarship and leadership advancement.

College-Level Student Organizations

At the College-level, we have a variety of student clubs and organizations to help you connect with other like-minded students, including:

Dining and Housing
