Graduate students learn sustainable farm technologies to strengthen communities in developing nations
In an effort to learn about globally sustainable farm methods and technologies, six graduate students in the Department of Agricultural Leadership, Education and Communications visited the World Hunger Relief farm outside of Waco, TX, earlier this month. As part of the high impact experience, students toured the farm’s gardening and field operations, harvested vegetables and explored their broiler production operation. ALEC and Texas Tech Faculty Launch Cohort Six of Doc@Distance
By: Caitlin Powers Faculty from the ALEC department at Texas A&M and Texas Tech University’s Agricultural Education and Communications department met in Lubbock August 19-21 to launch the sixth cohort of Doc@Distance. The joint doctoral program is open to individuals seeking a Doctor of Education in Agricultural Education. ALEC Graduate Student Interns with Super Bowl XLVII Champion Baltimore Ravens

ALEC Graduate Students Recognized in Borlaug Photography Contest

Doc@Distance is a joint program between Texas A&M and Texas Tech University that allows students to obtain a Doctor of Education in Agricultural Education regardless of their geographical location. ALEC grad students welcome new Aggies to campus through Grad Camp 2012
