Sarah McCord is a PhD student at Texas A&M University in the Department of Agricultural Leadership, Education, and Communications. Sarah is originally from California, Missouri, and received her Bachelor of Science in Agriculture Education and a Master of Science in Agriculture, both from Missouri State University. Sarah enjoys working on international agricultural development projects with various nonprofits she serves with. Her research interests include international development, study abroad, smallholder farmers, cultural competence, food systems innovation, and related topics. Sarah has experience conducting quantitative and qualitative research projects focused on human development, agriculture education, and the advancement of sustainable agriculture. Sarah also serves as a graduate student assistant for the USDA-NRCS federally funded grant program the NextGen NRCS Pros.
