Professional Summary
Olawunmi Ilesanmi is a research and teaching assistant in the Texas A&M University Department of Agricultural Leadership, Education, and Communications. She engages in the curriculum development and instruction for global agricultural issues course. She contributes to grant proposal development, research, and project implementation support within the Borlaug Institute for International Agriculture. She led the efforts that published a gender empowerment article for the African woman on the global agricultural platform- Agrilinks. Ilesanmi has 17 years’ commercial expertise across Nigeria’s petroleum, logistics, real estate, and agricultural sectors. Her interests cut across strengthening economic opportunities through mechanisms such as grass-root skills acquisition, household support, community engagement and socially responsible initiatives for vulnerable groups especially women and youth.
