Professional Summary
Jaehyun Ahn (Jae Ahn), Ph.D., is a postdoctoral research associate in the Texas A&M University Department of Agricultural Leadership, Education and Communications. Before joining, he engaged in field surveys, data collection, data management, and analysis in the Howard G. Buffett Foundation’s Ghana, Liberia, and Senegal Food Security Study. Over the past decade, he applied different methodologies to lead to highly tailored policy recommendations and continues to identify the reasons for food insecurity, conflict, and both causes and consequences in conflict-prone countries. His interdisciplinary approach answered international agriculture and international development questions, including rural public health, educational disparities, agricultural innovations, education, and extension. Ahn published his study in the Journal of Agricultural Education and Extension, International Journal of Food Properties, International Journal of Environmental Research and Public Health, a United States Agency for International Development (USAID) monograph and more. He will keep pursuing different journal publications to answer various questions and reach diverse audiences.
