Mazurkiewicz Visits Poland, Sparks Cross-Cultural Collaboration
By: Mollie Lastovica Jim Mazurkiewicz, Ph.D., Leadership Program Director for the Texas Agricultural Lifetime Leadership program, has been fostering relationships with dignitaries in Poland for more than a decade. On Sept. 24. Mazurkiewicz was recognized for his contributions when he was awarded the Polish Medal of Honor from the Kujawsko-Pomorskie region. Agricultural Communications and Journalism Students Submit Photos for Facebook Contest
Sixteen agricultural communications and journalism students who were enrolled in AGCJ 308, Agricultural Photography, during the fall semester are now displaying their work via social media as part of the 2012 AGCJ 308 Photography contest. The contest, which is taking place on the ALEC Department’s Facebook page, features an album of five photos from each student’s collection. The student whose album receives the most likes will be recognized as a winner and the student whose individual photo receives the most likes will also be awarded. FAST Hosts Aggiefest Invitation Leadership Development Event
By: Mollie Lastovica Over 300 FFA members from over 20 schools across the state met in College Station on Nov. 3 for the Aggiefest Invitational Leadership Development Event. Texas A&M Alumnus Joins Extension as Software Engineer
By: Mollie Lastovica Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service has hired Cory Phillips as a software engineer. Phillips graduated from Texas A&M with a degree in nuclear engineering. “I first heard about this position from someone who already works here and the job description greatly interested me,” Phillips said.
