Costa Rica Follow Up

By: Debbie Prince Alvin Larke, Ph.D., was awarded the Texas Council of Alpha Chapters Humanitarian Award on Friday Feb. 17.Larke was nominated for the state award by his Pi Alpha Lambda Chapter. Out of twenty five people who were nominated, three were selected. The Humanitarian Award is awarded annually to a Brother in good standing who has distinguished themselves by engaging in humane acts and serving to promote Brotherhood and social well-being within the ranks of the Fraternity and throughout the community. ALEC Department Welcomes New Faculty Member

By Debbie Prince New faculty member Roger Hanagriff, Ph.D., brings something unique to the Agricultural Leadership, Education, and Communications Department (ALEC): an agribusiness background. Hanagriff has taught agribusiness courses at Sam Houston State University and worked in farm management. He is currently teaching agribusiness at Texas A&M University – Kingsville in addition to his position with the ALEC department. Kassadi DRIVE spotlight article

Kassadi Click, a junior Agricultural Communications and Journalism (AGCJ) student, was enrolled in AGCJ 380—a high impact field experience course during the Fall 2011 semester. The story she wrote for her final project was recently published in DRIVE magazine. Holli Leggette, a Doctoral Student in Agricultural Communications and Journalism,  worked closely with Kassadi throughout the process.
