  • The joint Ed.D. program was recognized by the Texas Higher Education Coordination Board as “Exemplary” in 2002.
  • The degree was selected by the American Distance Education Consortium (ADEC) as the “Outstanding Program” in 2003.
  • In 2005, the Association for Communications Excellence announced that Dr. Susie Bullock, a 2004 program graduate, was the recipient of its “Outstanding Dissertation Award.” 
  • Dr. Michael Womack, also a 2004 graduate, won the “Outstanding Research Paper Award – Graduate Student Division” at the 2005 Southern Region American Association for Agricultural Education Meeting in Little Rock.
