Our courses allow students to gain experience in a variety of disciplines obtaining the knowledge needed to achieve their career goals. Although most of our courses are offered on the College Station campus, we do offer courses by Interactive Video (ITV) to several locations, allowing students to continue their careers and still have the opportunity to further their education. In some instances, cohort model courses are offered. However, these courses may be designated only for a specific degree program.
Selected courses are offered as Internet-based courses that traditionally utilize WebCT Vista as the software package. There are traditionally no synchronous chats scheduled; therefore, students may "come to class" at the time of the day of their choosing. Offering courses at a distance for students is beneficial in specific circumstances, however, most our degree programs have a maximum number of distance courses that can be applied to a degree program. Therefore, it is important to visit with your advisor or the Program Coordinator when registering for these courses.
In addition, we offer courses between semesters, called mini-mester or intersession, courses. Usually held for three weeks, these courses allow students to optimize their time between semesters.
