An international focus in the Department of Agricultural Leadership, Education and Communication provides students with knowledge and skills associated with international agricultural development related to human capacity building. Interwoven throughout is the development of cross-cultural understanding and cultural sensitivity while working with or teaching people who have diverse backgrounds, values and ethics.
Our faculty, staff and students work in more than a dozen countries in Africa, the Caribbean, Europe, Central and South America, and the Middle East. Students have the opportunity to incorporate an international focus into their existing programs in leadership, communications, or agricultural science through research, study abroad, and on-campus courses.
