In the Leadership Concentration, students learn about leadership theory, change theory, personal leadership development, team development, qualities of a good leader and follower, how to work with others, and how to think organizationally.  Students also learn transferable skills that can help them with not only their careers, but with student organizations, personal relationships and any dealings with others.

Graduates with University Studies-Leadership degrees pursue varying careers such as profit and non-profit organizations, management, law, politics, public service, military careers, general business, and much more. Specific career fields, as well as course material, is student-driven and varies with each student’s interest.

We are housed in the Department of Agricultural Leadership, Education, & Communications in the College of Agriculture & Life Sciences.

Our major does NOT require any Agricultural-based courses, although it depends on your chosen minors. Since we are a Life Science discipline, this is why we are housed in the College of Ag & Life Sciences.
