University Studies - Leadership (USAL-LED)
University Studies is a degree program offered through the General Academic Programs Office. It offers an interdisciplinary approach to receiving a degree.
Each University Studies Program consists of:
· 1 Concentration Area – 24 credit hours
· 2 Minors – 15-18 credit hours each
· University Core Curriculum – 43 credit hours
· General Electives – 17-26 credit hours
University Studies-Leadership (USAL-LED) is a University Studies degree with a concentration in Leadership.
The Leadership Studies Area of Concentration provides an environment where students study the scholarly discipline of leadership theory and enhance the process to successful leadership development. In the leadership studies concentration, students learn theories and models of the leadership process, change theories, personal leadership development, team development, how to work with people, and how to think organizationally. Leadership is an interdisciplinary skill that can benefit any student with any career goal, student organization, personal relationships, and professional development.
We are housed in the Department of Agricultural Leadership, Education, & Communications. We are in the College of Agriculture & Life Sciences.
Our major does NOT require any Agricultural-based courses, although it depends on your chosen minors. Since we are a Life Science discipline, this is why we are housed in the College of Ag & Life Sciences.
